Giving Thanks

The highlight of November is Thanksgiving…time for family, friends, fun and food but it really is a time for giving thanks.  We sometimes lose sight of that,

It might be difficult for some of us to be thankful right now because the pandemic is disrupting our lives.  But I was taught to be thankful for the good and bad, because there was always a lesson to be learned and shared, plus gained appreciation for what remained.  Bad events cause you to re-evaluate and recoup.

For example a setback such as an illness or job loss can reveal who are your real friends; provide an opportunity to show the faith you talk is the faith you really walk.  Think back to all those bad events that sometimes turned out to be blessings in disguise.  Give thanks for the good and bad in your life because both can make you stronger and a better person.
