Pandemic Problems

For almost two years, the pandemic has upended our lives and some people still chafe at wearing a mask; living in yoga pants, attending zoom meetings and virtual events.  We need a hug and not a virtual one.

All of this social distancing and sheltering in place has gotten to us.  People don’t speak anymore, no eye contact, at the grocery or on a walk.  Impatience and grumpiness are rampant, especially in lines and in traffic.

So what’s the solution?  Take a deep breath and exhale.  Remember a vaccine is heading your way and social distancing just makes you appreciate human contact even more.  As for the mask, remember the eyes are the window to the soul, let them express joy and happiness.  No frowns, please.  Your mouth is covered but it doesn’t have to be closed.  A hello, a thank you, a compliment, a good word can go a long way to lifting someone’s spirits and yours.
